Taifun

Sweet pepper variety Taifun is a medium-maturing variety intended for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 115-125 days, allowing to obtain a harvest within reasonable timeframes. The plant is strong, reaching a height of 60 to 70 cm, distinguished by good development and resistance to major pepper diseases, ensuring stability and high yield even under adverse weather conditions.

The Taifun pepper fruits have a characteristic conical shape with a drooping glossy appearance and a vibrant bright red color at biological maturity, while at technical maturity they are light green. The mass of one fruit varies from 140 to 300 grams, length reaches up to 20 cm, and wall thickness is 7-8 mm, which gives the fruits excellent density and juiciness. The fruits are three- to four-chambered, with a strong peppery aroma and sweet taste.

The Taifun variety is distinguished by high yield — 10-12 fruits mature simultaneously on one plant, and average yield reaches 5.5-5.7 kg per square meter. The fruits are versatile in use: they are excellent for fresh consumption, salad preparation, stuffing, as well as for winter preservation. Fruit-bearing period extends from June to September — October, until the onset of autumn frosts.
