Swallow

The Swallow pepper variety is a mid- to early-maturing type with a ripening period of 110 to 121 days. The plants are bush-type, reaching a height of 50–60 cm, making them suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant is characterized by high yield, which can range from 2 to 6 kg per square meter, as well as resistance to adverse weather conditions.

The fruits of the Swallow variety have a conical shape and can reach up to 10 cm in length. At biological maturity, they turn bright red, possess thick walls ranging from 5 to 6–7 mm in thickness, and weigh between 70 and 120 grams. The flesh of the fruits is juicy, sweet, and firm, ensuring excellent taste qualities. Due to their good storability, the peppers are suitable for both fresh consumption and canning.

Cultivation of Swallow pepper begins with sowing seeds in light, moist, and nutrient-rich soil for seedlings, which must be covered until germination. The plant prefers warmth and requires humidity control. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground in June at a spacing of 40x60 cm. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to mulch with sawdust, regular watering, weed control, staking, and feeding the plants.
