The sweet pepper variety "Red Cat" is a fast-maturing, high-yielding hybrid characterized by an exceptionally sweet flavor and attractive orange fruit color at biological maturity. The plant is medium-height, reaching 70-80 cm, with small green leaves. Fruits are round or rectangular, smooth and glossy, with a wall thickness of 8-9 mm and a weight ranging from 150 to 250 grams. Up to 20 fruits can develop simultaneously on one plant, maturing together, and new fruits quickly form after harvest.
The variety exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests, ensuring stable yields both in open ground and under plastic coverings. The maturity period is approximately 98-105 days from germination to fruiting, allowing for an early harvest. Commercial yield under coverings reaches 7.2-7.8 kg per square meter.
"Red Cat" fruits are versatile in use: they are excellent for fresh consumption due to their superior taste, as well as for home cooking, canning, freezing, and various processing methods. Their thick-walled and tender fruits make this variety especially attractive for diverse culinary applications.
