QUEEN OF SPADES

Queen of Spades is a decorative pepper variety, representing a miniature evergreen shrub 20-30 cm tall, with a rounded shape and moderate leafiness. The plant stands out for its striking appearance during fruiting due to its upward-pointing, glossy conical fruits. Leaves are dark green, lance-shaped, giving the shrub a neat and decorative look. This variety is suitable for year-round cultivation indoors on windowsills, as well as during summer on balconies, thriving in low light conditions, preferring sun and partial shade.

The fruits of Queen of Spades are small, conical, colored purple in technical maturity and dark red in biological maturity. They have a spicy flavor and aroma, making them versatile in culinary use. Fruits can be used as seasoning for various dishes, as well as for making powder and preserving. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by abundant and synchronized fruit ripening, ensuring a high yield.

Cultivation begins with sowing seedlings in late February to early March, followed by pinching in the cotyledon stage. Transplanting to the permanent location occurs at the end of May, with spacing between plants around 30 cm. Due to its compactness and decorative appeal, Queen of Spades is ideal for indoor and balcony cultivation, ensuring a steady harvest of aromatic and spicy fruits.
