Gilton

Gilton cabbage is an early-maturing variety with a vegetation period from sowing to harvest of 55-65 days. The plant is compact, forming light-green, barrel-shaped heads, well-covered and dense, with a weight of 1 to 1.6 kg. The inner structure of the head is loose, and the leaves are juicy and crisp, making this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption.

The Gilton variety is characterized by high resistance to bolting and wet rot, ensuring a stable yield and product quality. It is suitable for cultivation both as seedlings and direct sowing, recommended for planting in open ground in the latter half of summer, starting from mid-July, with an optimal planting scheme of 30 x 20 cm. Due to its characteristics, cabbage is well-suited for use in salads and appetizers.

Gilton is intended for fresh consumption and short-term storage; with soil ball retention, storage can last up to 3-4 months. This variety is rich in vitamins and beneficial substances, making it a healthy and tasty choice for nutritious eating. The variety is produced in the Czech Republic by Moravoseed.
