Description PETUSHOK
Pepper variety "Petushok" is an early-maturing and uniformly ripening variety, reaching technical maturity 105-120 days after germination. The plant is semi-spreading, of medium height (48 to 60 cm), which ensures ease of care and harvest. Fruits are hanging, conical, slightly oval, smooth, weighing 60 to 85 grams, with wall thickness of 5.5 to 7 mm. In some varieties, fruits may weigh up to 130 grams with wall thickness of 10-11 mm, making them especially meaty and juicy.

The fruits have a delicate flavor and strong aroma, making them versatile in cooking. They are widely used for salads, vegetable ragu, stuffing, canning, and baking. Particularly prized for their sweet taste and rich red color, which gives dishes an attractive appearance. The plant tolerates light partial shade well, and its dark green foliage enhances its decorative qualities.

The "Petushok" variety can be grown both under plastic coverings and in open ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of February with transplanting into the seedling stage in the cotyledon phase, and transplanting seedlings into the soil at the end of May. To form the bush, all side shoots and leaves should be removed until the first branching, which promotes better fruit development. Commercial yield at technical maturity ranges from 2.8 to 4.9 kg per square meter with a planting scheme of 40x60 cm.
