Description PEKINES
Pekines is a medium-maturing sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) variety, intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is determinate, low-growing, reaching 40-50 cm in height, with a semi-spreading form. The period from germination to technical maturity is 89-100 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times.

The fruits are tomato-shaped, large, and glossy, bright red in biological maturity, with a wall thickness up to 6-7 mm and a weight ranging from 105 to 160 g. They feature juicy, sweet flesh, ensuring high flavor quality of fresh produce. In technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, turning into a rich red upon full ripening.

This variety is ideal for various uses: whole-fruit canning, stuffing, and fresh salads. Yield in open ground reaches 1.68 kg/m², while according to the breeder’s data, it can reach up to 4.7 kg/m². Pekines is an exclusive variety developed by the company "Euro-Semena", guaranteeing its high quality and stable yield.
