Description Pantera
PANTERA — a mid-early pepper variety intended for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil. Plants are semi-spreading, compact, reaching 50-60 cm in height, and do not require pruning, simplifying care. Bushes exhibit high vigor and yield potential, making the variety widely adaptable and highly productive. Seedlings are transplanted at 75-85 days of age, when soil temperature reaches 15°C and there is no threat of late frosts, with spacing between plants around 40 cm. Plants are recommended to be staked, and watering should be even, maintaining slightly moist soil. Fruits of the PANTERA variety have a heart-shaped form, smooth and glossy surface. In technical ripeness, they are dark purple, and upon biological ripeness, they turn into a deep red color. Fruit weight reaches up to 150 g, with wall thickness of 5-7 mm. Peppers possess a rich spicy aroma and flavor, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for freezing and canning. Fruit length is about 11-12 cm, and they open slowly, which contributes to long-term storage and ease of use. For successful cultivation of the PANTERA variety, it is recommended to plant it on light, fertile, neutral soils with ample sunlight, although the plant tolerates light shade. Pre-sowing seed treatment includes soaking in a 1% potassium permanganate solution to stimulate germination. Optimal temperature for seed germination is 25-27°C; at lower temperatures, seedlings emerge significantly later. The variety is resistant to various strains of bacterial leaf spot, enhancing its reliability and reducing the risk of yield loss.
