Mohay

Mohay F1 sweet pepper is a medium-early indeterminate hybrid developed by the Italian company Esasem. The plant features a strong root system and good growth energy, ensuring active formation of abundant fruiting even at high temperatures. The plants are upright with an open habit, reaching a height of about 1.5 meters and capable of producing up to 16 large fruits per plant. The vegetative period is approximately 70-82 days, allowing harvest before frost.

Mohay pepper fruits have a cube-shaped form with 5-6 chambers, weighing 300-350 grams each. The wall thickness exceeds 10 mm, making them juicy and fleshy. Fruit color ranges from dark green to bright yellow, almost orange. The pepper has a sweet taste and high vitamin and mineral content. Due to its dense structure and high marketability, the fruits are well preserved and transportable, making them popular both on fresh markets and for processing.

The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including mosaic virus, pepper spot, bacterial spot, potato Y virus, and tobamovirus. It also shows moderate resistance to wilting and can withstand adverse stress conditions. Mohay pepper is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil, and its fruits are widely used in cooking, canning, and thermal processing.
