A Reliable Choice for Open Fields

The «Medok» pepper variety, developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (originator No. 531), represents a time-tested standard for open-field cultivation. Rather than focusing on extreme fruit size, this variety prioritizes consistent, marketable yields and adaptability to varying field conditions.

Technical Profile and Specifications

Designed specifically for outdoor production, the «Medok» variety balances growth cycles with environmental stress. With a maturity window of 72–78 days, it is well-suited for temperate climates, ensuring a full harvest before the season turns.

• Color: Reaches a distinctive light-yellow hue at biological maturity.
• Flesh: A wall thickness of 7–8 mm ensures the right balance of juiciness and crunch.
• Weight: Fruits typically range from 120 to 160 grams, making them perfect for fresh markets, stuffing, and culinary processing.

Market Positioning

«Medok» appeals to growers looking for predictability and ease of management. It is a workhorse variety that performs reliably without requiring complex, intensive cultivation protocols. Its reputation is built on high yield stability and the ability of the fruits to handle transport while retaining their quality, making it a staple for both small-scale farmers and commercial producers seeking dependable output.
