STO PELENOK — an early-ripening high-yield variety of Chinese cabbage that matures in an average of 55-70 days from germination to harvest. The rosettes are large, with a diameter of 50-60 cm and a height of 30-40 cm. Leaves are semi-erect, long, of medium width, green in color with a blistered and wavy surface, and slightly hairy. Heads are elongated, of medium density, with a yellow tint on the cut, weighing from 2.5 to 3.2 kg. The taste of the cabbage is excellent, tender, crunchy, and juicy, making this variety a great choice for dietary nutrition.
The variety is resistant to bolting and cruciferous clubroot, and also has cold hardiness, withstanding light frosts. The yield reaches 4.5-5 kg per square meter. The plant is recommended to be grown through seedlings, which are planted in the ground at 25-30 days old, in the phase of four to five true leaves. It is important not to delay planting to avoid flowering. Timely watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing are necessary for successful cultivation.
STO PELENOK is suitable for consumption fresh, especially in salads, as well as for preparing hot dishes such as cabbage rolls and soups. Cabbage stores well in the refrigerator, wrapped in plastic wrap, for up to 2-3 months without losing its taste qualities. Thanks to its characteristics and versatility, the variety is widely used both for short-term storage and for direct consumption.
