GOLDEN KEY

The 'Golden Key' pepper variety is an early, medium-height sweet pepper suitable for cultivation both in open ground and greenhouses, especially in southern regions. The plant is robust and sturdy, reaching a height of about 100 cm, and is abundantly covered with elongated-conical, glossy fruits measuring 15 to 25 cm in length and approximately 5 cm in diameter. Each fruit weighs around 200 g. Immature fruits are light green, turning bright yellow upon ripening, which gives them an attractive appearance. The fruits have juicy, sweet walls that are not overly thick but possess a delicate texture, making this variety one of the best for salads. 'Golden Key' has very high yield, and the variety is characterized by resistance to major pepper diseases, simplifying care and enhancing cultivation reliability. Due to its qualities, this pepper is excellent for fresh consumption and culinary use. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of February, with transplanting carried out at the 1-2 true leaf stage. Transplanting into greenhouses is recommended by late May, during which lateral shoots and leaves up to the first fork should be removed, and the plants should be tied to supports for better support. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm, providing sufficient space for each plant's development and contributing to high yields.
