Onion Jatoba

Jatoba F1 is an early-maturing Spanish-type hybrid, distinguished by high productivity and stress resistance. The vegetative period is approximately 95 days, allowing harvest within three months after germination. The plant features upright green foliage with a characteristic waxy coating, enhancing its resilience to adverse conditions and reducing susceptibility to fungal and viral diseases. This hybrid is adaptable to various cultivation conditions, heat-tolerant, and requires infrequent watering, making it suitable for cultivation in diverse regions. Jatoba bulbs have a classic spherical shape with slight elongations at the edges and a diameter ranging from 5 to 8 cm, with root mass beginning at 100 grams. Protective scales number 2-3 layers and exhibit a rich dark-bronze color with a sheen, giving the product an attractive appearance. The flavor is moderately pungent, making it versatile for various culinary applications. The thick bulb neck ensures good storage and ease of transport. Jatoba F1 is suitable for both fresh market consumption and processing. Thanks to its well-formed upper layer of protective scales, it can be stored for more than four months while maintaining its quality and flavor. Direct and transplanting sowing options are both possible, expanding cultivation versatility. All these characteristics make Jatoba F1 a profitable choice for farmers and producers aiming for high-quality, consistent yields.
