Pepper Elena

A Reliable Choice for Fresh Market and Processing

The 'Elena' pepper variety from 'Euro-Semena' is a strategic choice for farmers who prioritize predictable yields, whether cultivating in open fields or glass greenhouses. Its determinant growth habit allows for compact plant spacing, simplifying maintenance and pruning—a crucial advantage for operations focused on optimizing land utilization.

Agricultural Benefits and Application

• Maturity: With a 110–120 day growth cycle, this mid-season variety facilitates efficient harvest scheduling.
• Fruit Quality: The conical fruits, weighing 160–190g, are perfectly sized for retail distribution. A wall thickness of 7–9 mm ensures excellent shelf life and durability during transport, maintaining commercial appeal after transit.
• Usage: The intense bright red color in biological maturity makes these peppers ideal for fresh salads, while the substantial wall thickness makes them perfect for stuffing and high-quality freezing.

Practical application has proven that 'Elena' displays strong adaptability to temperature fluctuations, mitigating risks associated with outdoor growing. The plant does not require complex agro-technical intervention and shows resilience against major environmental stressors, making it a reliable solution for farms aiming for consistent productivity without heavy investment in specialized agricultural management.
