MEDAL

Medal is an early-maturing variety of sweet pepper, intended for cultivation in plastic and glass greenhouses. The period from full emergence to technical maturity ranges from 90 to 112 days. The plant is compact, occasionally semi-spreading, reaching a height of about 120 cm. For obtaining a high-quality yield, it is recommended to sow seedlings in late February, with transplanting at the cotyledon stage and planting in the ground by the end of May. Plant shaping includes removing all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork, which promotes better fruit development.

The fruits of the Medal variety are large, with a broad-prism shape, wavy surface, and medium ribbing. The fruit apex is blunt, and the wall thickness at technical maturity is 3-4 mm, with a weight ranging from 42 to 49 grams. At technical maturity, the fruits have a light green color, which turns red at biological maturity. The taste qualities of the pepper are excellent, making it attractive to consumers.

The variety is characterized by high yield — from 3.9 to 4.5 kg per square meter — and resistance to gray mold, which enhances cultivation reliability and fruit quality. The recommended planting scheme is 40x60 cm, ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth and development.
