The Capitoshka pepper variety is a medium-early ripe sweet pepper variety intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is semi-spreading, reaching a height of 45 to 56 cm, with large dark-green leaves. The fruits have a truncated-conical shape with a smooth surface and blunt apex. In technical maturity, they are light green, and in biological maturity, they turn bright red. The fruit walls are 6-7 mm thick, and the weight varies from 50 to 85 grams. The taste qualities of fresh and preserved fruits are rated as good to excellent, with a moderate aroma. The variety is characterized by uniform fruiting and rapid fruiting, allowing for a marketable yield of 2.1 to 4.2 kg per square meter. The Capitoshka pepper has moderate resistance to blossom end rot, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. The plant is well-adapted to light, non-acidic soils, which should be considered when preparing the site. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to prepare the soil one year before planting with the application of organic fertilizers and mineral feed. In autumn, after harvest, the plot is tilled with the addition of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and in spring, ammonium nitrate is applied. Five days before transplanting seedlings, the soil is treated with a disinfecting copper sulfate solution. This complex of agronomic measures contributes to obtaining a high-quality yield of the Capitoshka pepper.
