BABUSHKINA GRYADKA

The pepper variety BABUSHKINA GRYADKA is a medium-early sweet pepper with a maturation period of 115 to 125 days. This variety is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, under temporary plastic coverings, as well as in open ground. The plant is medium-height, reaching 100 to 130 cm, with moderate leafiness. Fruits have a drooping conical shape, glossy surface, and thick walls of 7–8 mm. The flesh is juicy, sweet, with a rich flavor and aroma. The weight of one fruit ranges from 120 to 150 grams. In technical maturity, fruits have a light green or greenish-white color, while in biological maturity, they are bright red. Sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of February, with transplanting at the 1–2 true leaf stage. Planting in greenhouses occurs at the end of May. After transplanting, side shoots and leaves up to the first fork are removed, and plants are tied to supports for proper bush formation. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm. The commercial yield of this variety reaches 6.1 kg per square meter. Due to its characteristics, the BABUSHKINA GRYADKA variety is widely used fresh, as well as for home cooking and preservation.
