Peony ACADEMIK ATABEKOV

Aesthetics and Resilience of Tree Peonies

The 'Akademik Atabekov' peony is a breeding achievement from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, developed with the expertise of Marianna Sergeevna Uspenskaya. This tree peony variety is an excellent choice for those seeking the perfect balance between high ornamental value and structural hardiness in temperate climates.

Practical Landscape Applications

The primary function of this variety is to serve as an accent plant in garden and park landscaping. Its architecture makes it ideal for several specific scenarios:

• Enhancing formal areas and flower beds where a visual focal point with long-lasting aesthetic appeal is required.
• Developing tiered landscape compositions, where large blooms and robust stems create a distinct vertical structure.
• Landscaping sites that require reliable, low-maintenance, and visually impressive perennial plants.

Agrotechnical Advantages

The core practical benefit of 'Akademik Atabekov' is its exceptional resistance to pathogens. The breeders focused heavily on the health of the root system and foliage, ensuring the variety exhibits high resistance to rot. This significantly reduces maintenance efforts: unlike many international counterparts, this variety is less susceptible to fungal diseases in high-humidity environments, which is a crucial advantage for regions with volatile weather.

For optimal results, it is recommended to plant in well-lit areas with well-drained soil. While the variety is naturally resilient, consistent adherence to standard watering and maintenance practices will allow the peony to reach its full ornamental potential and ensure long-term longevity in your garden.
