The 'Hideto' tree peony is the result of long-term breeding work by the Lomonosov Moscow State University team, led by M.S. Uspenskaya. This variety serves as an example of adaptive breeding, focusing on preserving the aesthetics of Oriental hybrids within the constraints of a temperate climate.

Biological Potential and Resilience

The core value of 'Hideto' lies in its immune status. Unlike many introduced varieties, this hybrid exhibits increased resistance to rot, a critical factor when cultivating in environments prone to fluctuating humidity and temperatures. This has been achieved through rigorous selection of parent forms adapted to specific soil and climatic conditions.

Technical Agronomic Requirements

• Soil Substrate: To fully realize the variety's genetic potential, the soil must maintain a pH of 6–7 (slightly acidic). Drainage is a critical parameter; the root system of 'Hideto' cannot tolerate stagnant moisture, which triggers anaerobic processes and the development of pathogenic microflora.
• Light Regime: The plant requires placement in open, well-lit areas. A lack of sunlight negatively impacts the development of generative buds and the structural strength of the stems.
• Usage: The variety is optimized for landscape design, specifically for garden and park spaces, and for creating focal points in flowerbeds.
