Peony ALBERT VLASOV

A Distinguished Tree Peony Cultivar

The 'Albert Vlasov' peony is a remarkable creation by the Russian breeder Marianna Sergeyevna Uspenskaya. As a prominent member of the tree peony group, this variety reflects a high standard of breeding focused on both aesthetic appeal and environmental resilience, making it a staple for discerning gardeners and landscape designers.

Cultivation and Soil Requirements

Success with 'Albert Vlasov' hinges on mimicking its preferred growing environment. This variety thrives in fertile, loamy soils that provide a stable nutrient base. Gardeners should ensure the following conditions are met for optimal growth:

• Light: Full sun exposure is essential for vigorous blooming.
• pH Balance: Prefers slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6–7.
• Drainage: Superior drainage is critical; the soil must be well-drained to prevent root zone saturation.

One of the most notable characteristics of this variety is its inherent resistance to fungal pathogens, particularly various types of rot. This natural hardiness reduces the need for intensive chemical interventions, allowing for more sustainable garden maintenance.

Garden Integration

Designed for beauty and longevity, this cultivar serves as an excellent focal point in garden landscapes or as a sophisticated addition to dedicated flower beds. Its history and reliable performance ensure that it remains a top choice for those looking to add structure and elegance to their horticultural projects. By placing it in a well-ventilated, sunny area, you allow the plant to maintain its structural integrity and health throughout the growing season.
