Paeonia 'Julia' is an ITO hybrid that combines the best qualities of herbaceous and tree peonies. The plant features large semi-double flowers with diameters ranging from 15 to 25 cm, which change color during the blooming process: from bright pink with a copper-apricot hue when opening to cream-pink, coral, and orange-yellow at the final stage. The flower center is adorned with golden stamens, creating a striking contrast with the petals. Blooming lasts about five weeks, starting in May and ending in June. The flowers have a light and pleasant, though not overpowering, fragrance.

The 'Julia' peony bushes are compact and sturdy, reaching heights from 75 to 90 cm, making them convenient for growing and cutting. The plant prefers sunny, well-lit areas with moderately moist and well-drained soil. For planting, it is recommended to use rhizomes, which can be planted from March to December. The peony is resistant to diseases and wind, ensuring its decorativeness and longevity in the garden.

The variety's origin is linked to the hybridization of Paeonia lactiflora and Paeonia lutea, with the breeder being Anderson, 1991. Paeonia 'Julia' is hardy and suitable for growing in areas with a temperate climate.
