Peony NENSY NORA

The Peony 'Nancy Nora' is a highly decorative variety featuring double rose-like flowers about 18-20 cm in diameter. These blooms feature a delicate pink-milky hue with a pearlescent sheen and a pleasant aroma reminiscent of pink geranium. The bushes of this peony are tall and spreading, reaching heights from 70 to 100 cm, with sturdy upright stems that do not require additional support and are resilient to stress during flowering and after rain. The leaves are dark green and turn crimson in autumn, adding to the plant's appeal throughout the season.

This variety is known for its low-maintenance care and ability to thrive in one spot for over 15-20 years without the need for frequent replanting. For successful cultivation, it is important to plant the peony correctly without damaging the renewal buds, which should be at a depth of 3-4 cm. The plant prefers open, sunny areas with nutrient-rich, loose, and neutral pH soils without water stagnation. Regular fertilization promotes good bush development throughout the season, and to reduce soil acidity, it is sometimes recommended to add ash.

Flowering of the Peony 'Nancy Nora' begins in early summer and lasts quite a long time; therefore, in the first year after planting, it is recommended to remove buds to strengthen the plant. The bushes are compact but abundantly flowering, making this variety an excellent choice for decorative gardens and flowerbeds. Due to the combination of beauty, aroma, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, the Peony 'Nancy Nora' maintains its popularity and relevance among gardeners.
