Peony Cinderella

Tree Peony "Zolushka" by MSU: A Selection Masterpiece

The "Zolushka" peony is a selective masterpiece developed at the Lomonosov Moscow State University under the guidance of Marianna Uspenskaya. This tree peony variety stands out for its refined aesthetics and remarkable resilience in fluctuating climates. Unlike many introduced hybrids, "Zolushka" shows high adaptability, making it a reliable and predictable choice for any garden landscape.

A Visual Accent for Your Garden

The hallmark of this variety is its dense, double, light-pink flowers that resemble classic ball gowns in their form and elegance. With a bush height of about 90 cm, the plant appears compact yet monumental, allowing it to serve as a central piece for flower beds or an accent focal point in garden arrangements. The flowering period is extended, spanning from late May through late June, effectively turning your garden into a fragrant paradise for a full month.

Why Choose "Zolushka"?

• Flowering Stability: Due to its mid-to-late blooming schedule, the variety is resistant to early spring frosts.
• Decorative Potential: Perfectly suited for "old English garden" styles or modern minimalist landscapes.
• Maintenance: Like all tree peonies, "Zolushka" prefers sunny, wind-protected spots with well-drained soil.

Despite its aristocratic appearance, the variety is quite undemanding. The only notable sensitivity is to waterlogging, so ensuring a proper drainage layer during planting is essential. "Zolushka" from Lomonosov Moscow State University is the ultimate choice for those seeking proven, high-quality planting material that guarantees a beautiful, consistent aesthetic result season after season.
