Peony Coral Cup

Breeding Engineering Specifications

The 'Fylyzhanka Koraliv' peony is a product of long-term selection at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. This herbaceous perennial features an architectural structure tailored to Ukraine's variable climate. Reaching a height of 120 cm, the plant requires careful positioning in landscape design. The robust stems are engineered for structural integrity, minimizing lodging risk during heavy precipitation.

Floral Architecture and Design

• Flower type: Semi-double. This structural arrangement minimizes moisture accumulation within the bud, a critical factor in preventing fungal decay during spring rain cycles.
• Color profile: A stable coral hue that maintains saturation throughout the blooming period.
• Hardiness: Rated to -35°C, demonstrating significant root system adaptation and high resilience against deep freeze conditions.

Agrotechnical Requirements

Optimizing the genetic potential of this cultivar requires strict adherence to environmental parameters. Light intensity is paramount: the plant demands full solar exposure to sustain the photosynthesis rates required for such vigorous stems. Furthermore, soil drainage is a critical structural requirement. Stagnant water in the root zone is the primary destructive agent for this hybrid; therefore, it must be planted in fertile, highly permeable soil. Ideally suited for focal point placement in garden designs, its stature allows it to anchor complex flower beds effectively.
