CREWSEER AURORA

Peony Crewseer Aurora is a domestic selection breed created in the USSR and first bloomed in 1960 in the Botanical Garden of MSU named after M.V. Lomonosov. The author of the breed is Anastasia Antonovna Sosnovets. The flower is distinguished by its densely double, crown-shaped or hemispherical shape, with a dense structure and a diameter of up to 19 cm. Its dark-magenta shade does not fade in the sun, and the stamens are decorated with red stigmas. Flowering is medium-early, and the aroma is weak or medium. The absence of stamens gives the flower special decorativeness.

The peony bush is semi-spreading, of medium strength, heavily leafy with dark green leaves. The plant height varies from 90 to 110 cm, stems are strong but slightly curved, so the breed requires support. Peony grows moderately, which allows using it both in decorative plantings and for cutting. The plant is winter-hardy and prefers sunny places with moisture-conductive and well-drained soil, as well as regular fertilizers for full development.
