Late-season variety selected by the Stavropol Experimental Station for Horticulture. Obtained from crossing 'Memory of the Congress' and 'Forest Beauty'. Breeder: P. V. Kuznetsov. A hobbyist-type variety. Of interest to amateur gardeners.
Trees are large with rounded, moderately dense crowns. Branches emerge from the trunk almost at a right angle. The wood is dark gray. The predominant type of fruit formation is rings.
Shoots are brown. Leaves are small, elongated, tapering at the tip, smooth, matte.
Fruits are well-shaped, broad pear-shaped, irregular in size. Skin is glossy, oily. Main color at harvest is greenish with a slight brownish-red blush; at consumer maturity, light yellow with a diffused brownish-red blush. Subcutaneous dots are small and green. Seed chambers are closed. Seeds are large and brown.
Flesh is creamy, tender, oily, sweet.
Harvest ripeness occurs from August 10-15. Storage capacity: 20 days under normal conditions, 30 days at ±1°C.
High yield. Winter-hardy.
Advantages of the variety: high commercial quality.
Disadvantages of the variety: tall trees, irregular fruits, low transportability. Not compatible with quince.
