The Smerychka pear variety is a winter-hardy and low-maintenance medium-sized tree with a pyramidal, sparse, and compact crown. The tree begins bearing fruit in the fifth year after planting and is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and pests. This variety grows well on various soil types and features stable yields, making it attractive to gardeners who value reliability and fruit quality.

The Smerychka pear fruits are large, with an elongated-pear shape and a weight of approximately 270-330 grams, sometimes reaching 550 grams. The skin is of medium thickness, smooth, and dry, with a light green or yellowish-green color and a slight reddish blush on the sun-exposed side at harvest. As they ripen, the fruits develop a golden-yellow hue with small dots and a more pronounced blush.

The flesh is white, juicy, tender, and semi-oily, without granules, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste and a mild almond aroma.

Harvesting occurs in the second decade of October, and the fruits maintain their consumer quality from mid-October until the end of November. When stored in a refrigerator at +1 to +2°C, the pears can be preserved until mid-January, ensuring a long storage period and the possibility of using the fruits during winter. Due to their flavor and good storability, the Smerychka variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and various culinary purposes.
