Winter variety. Obtained at the VNIIS named after I. V. Michurin by crossing Borovinka with Renet Simirenko. Authors: G. A. Lobanov, Z. I. Ivanova, V. K. Zaets, S. I. Isaev. It is a promising variety for Central Black Earth and Lower Volga regions for commercial and amateur orchards.
Moderately vigorous tree with a rounded, dense, medium-sized crown. Main branches grow at right angles from the trunk, with brownish-yellow coloring. Fruit set occurs on spurs and short spurs, to a lesser extent on fruiting shoots.
Shoots with brownish bark, medium thickness, round in cross-section. Leaves green, medium-sized, egg-shaped or elliptic. Leaf blade flat, medium pubescence. Leaf margin finely toothed. Petiole small.
Flowers medium-sized, white, aromatic, with rounded petals, medium stamen column, stigmas positioned level with anthers.
Fruits (see fig.) medium (130 g) or above-medium size (165 g), round, well-shaped, with shiny skin. Main color at harvest stage is greenish-yellow, with a light pink blush. Color at consumer ripeness is golden-yellow, with a beautiful delicate pink blush. Peduncle short, thick. Calyx tube medium width and depth. Receptacle closed, sub-receptacular tube funnel-shaped. Plate small, weakly ribbed. Heart medium-sized, bulbous. Chambers half-open. Seeds medium-sized, elongated-egg-shaped, pointed, dark brown.
Flesh light cream-colored, medium density, slightly tart-sweet, semi-oily, with weak aroma. Chemical composition of fruits: total sugars — 11.4%, titratable acids — 0.40%, ascorbic acid — 26.7 mg/100g.
Harvest ripeness occurs in mid-October; fresh consumption ends in February.
Fruits intended for fresh consumption, stored under controlled atmosphere — until May.
Fruit production begins on the 3rd-4th year after planting in orchards. Yield abundant, not strongly periodic. Winter hardiness of trees medium; in severe winters, slight freezing of heartwood and one-year growth (no more than 1 point) was observed. Resistance to fungal diseases medium — leaves and fruits affected by scab not more than 1.5 points.
Advantages of the variety: small tree size, high early fruiting, abundant yield, uniform fruits of optimal size and attractive shape.
Disadvantages of the variety: absence of skin color.
