Winter, immune to apple scab variety (with Vf gene) from the All-Russian Research Institute for Fruit Crop Selection, with winter-ripening fruits. The variety was obtained by sowing seeds of a 1924 seedling [(F2 M. floribunda × Welles) × (F2 M. floribunda × Jonathan)] from open pollination. Breeders: E. N. Sedov, Z. M. Serova, V. V. Zhdanov, E. A. Dolmatov. The variety was accepted for State Testing in 1997 and registered in the State Register since 2002.
Trees are medium-sized. The crown is moderately dense, round, with drooping branches. Main branches diverge from the trunk at nearly right angles, curved, and spaced apart. Bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth and brown. The predominant type of fruiting structures is simple and complex clusters.
Shoots of medium thickness, curved, round in cross-section, brownish. Buds are few and small. Leaves are medium-sized, elongated-oval, long-pointed, with spirally twisted tips, dark green, wrinkled, glossy, with coarse venation. Leaf blade is curved downward. Leaf margin is finely toothed, wavy, twisted. Leaf petiole is medium in length and thickness, hairy. Stipules are small and needle-like.
Inflorescences are umbellate, consisting of 4-6 flowers; buds are white-pink; flowers are flat, medium-sized, with pale pink, slightly curled petals of rounded shape; stigmas are below the anthers; pedicels are thin and long; fused style is hairy.
Fruits (see illustration) are medium-sized (120 g), relatively uniform, elongated-conical (candle shape), sloping, strongly ribbed. Fruit skin is smooth and glossy. Main color is greenish-yellow, with a covering color that occupies half the fruit surface as a blurred pink blush. Subcutaneous dots are few, medium-sized, gray, clearly visible. Peduncle is medium length. Calyx is deep, narrow, grooved. Receptacle is closed. Heart is medium-sized, onion-shaped. Seed chambers are closed, medium-sized. Subcalyx tube is bowl-shaped, medium-sized. Seeds are medium-sized, oval, brown.
Fruit flesh is white, greenish, tender, finely-grained, juicy, with a sweet-tart flavor. Appearance and taste of fruits are rated 4.3-4.4 points. Chemical composition of fruits: total sugars — 10.0%, titratable acids — 0.56%, ascorbic acid content — 7.2 mg/100g, P-active substances — 597 mg/100g.
Harvesting maturity occurs in mid-September; fruits can be stored until mid-February. The variety is winter-hardy, early-bearing, and high-yielding.
