Summer variety, developed at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Irrigated Horticulture. Breeders: P. V. Grozdetsky, I. N. Boyko, E. M. Avramenko, P. I. Kulikov, I. N. Maximova. Parental forms are unknown. The variety is included in the State Register (regionally approved) for the North Caucasus region.
Medium-sized tree with a sparse, slightly spreading pyramidal crown and drooping branches. Fruits mainly develop on ring buds.
Shoots are greenish-brown, straight, long, medium thickness, with elongated internodes, hairless; buds are medium-sized, slightly convex. Buds are rounded, pressed, light-brown. Leaves are green, medium-sized, oval-rounded, pointed at the tip, directed sideways; leaf blade is curved upward, elastic, thin, smooth, glossy, hairless.
Flowers are five-petaled, dish-shaped, white. Petals are concave, stamens are straight, anthers are pink. Pistil is located below the stamens.
Fruits are medium to above medium size, elongated-pome shaped, slightly bumpy. Skin is dense, matte during eating maturity, yellow-green with a soft, blurred reddish blush on the sun-exposed side. Fruit color is very attractive. Peduncle is medium length, straight. No calyx cup, the calyx is half-open.
Flesh is cream-white, tender, finely grained, juicy, slightly acidic-sweet with a mild aroma, without granules, very good taste. Fruits contain 10.3–19.6% soluble solids, 8.7–11.5% sugars, 0.18–0.30% titratable acids, 3.8–4.4 mg/100g of fresh weight (according to I. N. Maximova).
Eating maturity of fruits occurs in early August, consumer maturity is one week later.
Fruits can be stored for up to 10 days. Transportability is average.
Fruits are consumed fresh.
Trees begin fruiting in the 6th–7th year after planting in the garden. Fruits are produced annually and abundantly.
Tree is winter-hardy, drought- and heat-tolerant. Not susceptible to scab; low soil requirement.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, annual and high yield, resistance to scab.
Disadvantages of the variety: low transportability and storage life of fruits.
