Early-ripening variety selected by VSTISP, obtained by crossing interspecific hybrid No. 8 with 'Duches Summer'. Breeders: Yu. A. Petrov, N. V. Efimova. Widely grown in suburban gardens of Moscow and neighboring regions. Approved for the Central region.
Tree in young age has a high-spherical crown, later pyramidal, formed by strong, few branches with frequently placed buds, on which fruiting is concentrated.
Shoots are medium-sized, fairly thick, straight, light-brown (olive-yellow). Leaves are medium-sized, smooth, with slightly uplifted, finely serrated edges. Petioles with small stipules.
Fruits are below average size, weighing 60-80 g, short pear-shaped, with bumps (pearls) around the calyx. Surface is uneven. Main color is light-yellow, with a pinkish-orange blush. Peduncle is medium length and thickness. Calyx is medium-sized, closed over a small subcalyx tube. Seed chambers are closed, with well-formed brown seeds. No central cavity.
Flesh is creamy, juicy, sweet, with excellent taste qualities. Fruits ripen early. Ripening is not simultaneous (from late July to mid-August).
Fruits are good for fresh consumption and processing, and can be stored in refrigerator for about a month.
Fruit-bearing begins on the 4th-5th year (from the year of growth in the nursery). Yields are good and regular. Winter hardiness is high, at the level of average Russian varieties. Variety is resistant to fungal diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high ecological resistance, good yields, high consumer quality of fruits, early ripening.
Disadvantages of the variety: small fruit size, tree's demand for shaping and thinning pruning.
Variety is especially valuable for suburban gardens and selection for early ripening.
