Early autumn variety of American selection. Approved for the North Caucasus region. Widely grown in Stavropol, Krasnodar regions, Rostov Oblast, and Ukraine.
Medium-sized tree with a narrow pyramidal crown in youth, which becomes spreading under heavy fruit load.
Fruits are large to very large (260 g), elongated-pedunculate. Skin is smooth, shiny, greenish-yellow with a large red-carmine blush. The depression at the base of the fruit is shallow and smooth; the calyx is small and half-closed. No depression. The peduncle is short, thick, straight.
Flesh is white, tender, juicy, tart-sweet, with excellent flavor. Under Kuban conditions, fruits contain sugars — 10.3%, titratable acids — 0.37%, dry matter — 17.0%, ascorbic acid — 6.7 mg/100g, P-active catechins — 31.7 mg/100g of fresh weight.
Harvesting ripeness occurs in early September; consumer ripeness follows in two weeks. Under artificial cooling, fruits can be stored until November–December. Fruit quality is good.
Begins fruiting on the 4th–5th year after planting in the orchard. Cold-resistant and high-yielding variety.
Advantages: early fruiting, high yield, good fruit quality. One of the promising varieties for breeding programs.
