The 'Mriya' peach variety is a tall tree with a medium-dense, well-formed crown, reaching a height of 2-3 meters. The tree begins bearing fruit 2-3 years after planting and is characterized by high yield. The leaves are dark green, lanceolate, giving the plant a decorative appearance. The variety is self-fertile, so fruiting does not depend on the presence of other pollinator varieties. To maintain high yield and prevent fruit cracking, regular and quality pruning is recommended. The tree is not frost-resistant, which should be considered when cultivating. The 'Mriya' variety produces large fruits, weighing 140-200 grams, round in shape. Their color is light red with a yellow background and burgundy blush. The flesh is yellow, aromatic, sweet, and free of acidity, dense, but the pit separates easily from the flesh. Thanks to these qualities, the fruits are prized for their excellent taste and uniform ripening, which facilitates harvesting. The ripening period falls in the second decade of August, making the variety early and convenient for obtaining fresh fruit at the end of summer. The 'Mriya' variety was developed in Florence, Italy, by Professor Gelle, and is successfully cultivated in Ukraine. For planting, one-year-old saplings 1-1.5 meters tall, grafted onto almond rootstock, are used, which promotes good growth and fruiting. Tree care includes timely pruning and protection from frost, which allows maintaining high yield and fruit quality. This variety is ideal for gardeners who value large, tasty, and aromatic peaches with uniform ripening.
