Introduced by S.Y. Debisikayeva at the North Caucasus Research Institute of Mountain and Pre-Mountain Horticulture from crossing varieties Tavrida x Geydel'fingenska. Under state variety trials since 2005.
Medium-growing tree with a medium-dense pyramidal crown. Bark on the trunk is flaking and brown. Shoots are straight, thick, brown, and bare. Buds on shoots are few, small, and red. Vegetative buds are pointed, generative buds are elliptical. Buds are pressed against the shoots. Leaves are medium-sized, broad, elliptical, and slightly pointed at the apex. Upper leaf surface is dark green, matte, and smooth. Leaf blade is concave. Lower leaf surface is glabrous. Leaf apex is sharply pointed. Leaf base is pointed. Leaf margin is finely toothed. Petiole is medium-length and width, pigmented. Stipules on petiole are round and dark red. Inflorescence is umbel. Number of inflorescences (from one generative bud) 1-4, corolla diameter large (3.5 cm). Petals are elliptical, touching, white. Number of stamens per flower 20-23. Stamens length 1.0 cm, pistil length 1.2 cm. Sepals are narrow and long. The variety has mixed flowering and fruiting type.
Fruits are large, average mass 8.0 g, round, dark red, almost black, one-sided. Skin is dark red, medium thickness, does not peel off the fruit, glabrous. Juice color is dark red. Flesh is dark red, medium density. Pedicel is short, medium thickness, easily separates from the branch. Pit is round, mass 0.33 g, constitutes 0.04% of total fruit mass. Pit has pink coloration, easily separates from flesh.
Fruit appearance is very attractive — large, dark red, one-sided fruits. Taste is sour-sweet, 4.9 points. Processing product rating — 4.3 points. Fruits have dry detachment from pedicel, suitable for technical processing. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter content — 20%, sugars — 10%, acids — 0.3%, ascorbic acid — 11.4 mg/100g.
Flowering period is medium. Ripening period is medium — June 18-26. Fruits ripen simultaneously. Enters fruiting at 5 years. High and regular yield (180-220 centners/ha).
Tree, shoots, and generative buds are resistant to winter frosts. Flowers are resistant to spring frosts. Drought and heat resistance of the variety is medium. The variety is relatively resistant to main fungal diseases and pests. Under normal agronomy, the variety can do without herbicide pressure.
Suitable for establishing intensive industrial orchards. Can be used in breeding for developing varieties resistant to winter-spring temperature fluctuations, relatively resistant to main fungal diseases and pests, with competitive fruits.
Advantages of the variety: resistance to winter and spring temperature fluctuations, excellent fruit commercial qualities, resistance to fungal diseases and pests, regular and good yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: fruit size reduction under poor agronomy.
