Description
This variety was obtained by crossing Leningrad Red with Golden Lozhitskaya. Originator: VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: B.L. Nikitin, G.G. Nikiforova, I.N. Zolotukhina. Under state variety testing since 2006.
Medium-growing tree with a spreading crown of medium density. Shoots are medium, brownish-green, with many medium-sized buds. Leaves are large, ovate-conical, light green. Leaf blade is concave. Petioles are short. Petiole is medium, thick, green. Stipules are medium, two pieces, yellow. Flowers are large, white.
Fruits are large (4.2–4.5 g), round in shape. Fruit apex is flat, base without depression. Peduncle is medium, thick, easily separates from the branch. Fruit color is bright yellow. Skin is firm. Flesh is yellow, firm, slightly fibrous. Juice is colorless. Taste is sweet with slight acidity. Stone separates easily from the flesh. Dry matter content in fruits — 15.8%, sugars — 15.0%, acids — 0.83%, ascorbic acid — 10 mg/100g.
Enters fruiting stage on the 4th–5th year after planting in the garden.
Advantages of the variety: enhanced winter hardiness, abundant yield, ecological stability, attractive fruits with high taste quality.
