About product
A high-yielding 2025 hybrid with excellent morphology for efficient direct combining.
Description
Technological Potential of LG KORVET
The 2025 novelty from Limagrain Europe, the complex pea hybrid LG KORVET, is a product of breeding focused on stability and agronomic efficiency. The absence of anthocyanin coloration and stem fasciation, combined with a medium growth type, makes this hybrid predictable in field conditions. The plant forms a high number of nodes, which, with proper management, ensures high productivity.
Agronomy and Crop Management
To realize the genetic potential of LG KORVET, the following aspects are critical:
- Sowing Dates: Early sowing is optimal, as soon as the soil warms up to +5...+7°C. This allows the plant to maximize the use of winter-spring moisture before peak temperatures arrive.
- Planting Density: Given the morphology (medium stem length, presence of stipules with moderate spotting), a stand density of 1.0–1.2 million viable seeds per hectare is recommended. This ensures optimal light penetration and reduces the risk of lodging.
- Soil Requirements: The hybrid performs best on structured chernozems and loams with a neutral pH level. It is important to avoid compacted areas with waterlogging.
- Phase-Specific Care: From emergence to flowering (which occurs at a medium time for LG KORVET), weed control is essential, as peas are sensitive to competition in the early stages. During budding and the onset of flowering, protection against pests (pea weevil, aphids) is critical, as the formation of two flowers per node requires intensive nutrition.
The white flower petals and moderate leaf coloration indicate a balanced metabolism. Long petioles and efficient pod placement on the peduncle facilitate harvesting, minimizing losses during direct combining.
