The DKC3050 hybrid sweet corn is an intensive early-maturing variety with high yield potential and excellent initial growth energy. It is characterized by high water-use efficiency and high starch content, making it versatile for use as grain or silage. The plant reaches a height of 230-250 cm, with the ear positioned at 115-118 cm, and contains 14-16 rows of kernels, with kernel numbers ranging from 520 to 580 per ear. The kernels are dent-type, which contributes to high productivity and grain quality.
The hybrid demonstrates good adaptability to various soil types and cultivation technologies, especially effective in western and northern regions of Ukraine. It is resistant to low temperatures, allowing sowing at soil temperatures as low as 7-8 °C. Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: 75-85 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 65-70 thousand under unstable conditions. DKC3050 exhibits high resistance to common corn diseases, such as common smut and stalk and ear Fusarium, as well as to root and stalk lodging.
This hybrid is distinguished by its stability and plasticity, ensuring stable yields up to 12 tons per hectare. It positively responds to increased mineral nutrition and adaptive cultivation technologies. Due to its high starch content (over 72%) and rapid water-use efficiency, DKC3050 is suitable for biofuel production, including bioethanol and biogas, as well as for silage. Its versatility and high productivity make it a profitable choice for intensive agrotechnologies.
