The ALBUMEN pea variety is a mid-season sowing variety characterized by high yield and disease resistance. This variety features medium stem length and an optimal number of internodes, ensuring good plant development. ALBUMEN is included in the State Register and recommended for cultivation in various regions, confirming its adaptability and stability under agricultural conditions.
The variety is distinguished by high productivity: maximum grain yield reaches 5.9 tons per hectare, and green mass yield reaches up to 40.8 tons per hectare. The grain contains up to 30.5% protein, making it valuable for feed and food purposes. Additionally, protein content in hay reaches 23.3%, further enhancing its nutritional value. ALBUMEN is resistant to seed infection by ascochytosis, which helps maintain crop quality and quantity even in the presence of an infectious background.
For successful pea cultivation, ALBUMEN requires choosing non-acidic, moisture-retentive, and well-aerated soils. The best predecessors in crop rotation are well-fertilized crops such as cucumber, tomato, pumpkin, and early potatoes. Sowing is conducted at the end of April at a depth of 2-3 cm with row spacing of 20-30 cm, at a seeding rate of up to 100 seeds per square meter. Plant care includes inter-row loosening, irrigation, and fertilization. Harvesting is done as the crop matures, allowing for the collection of high-quality and large pods.
