Veselka

The 'Veselka' onion variety is a medium- or early-maturing semi-sharp type known for its excellent taste with a slight sweet note. The bulbs are round or flat-round in shape, weighing between 80 and 350 grams depending on growing conditions. The outer skin is a deep red or purplish-red color, while the inner onion rings are white with a purple tint, giving the vegetable an attractive appearance and making it an excellent addition to various dishes.

The plant reaches a height of 40-45 cm, has good resistance to adverse conditions and diseases such as downy mildew. The variety is low-maintenance, easily grown from seeds in an annual crop on open, fertile, well-watered, and loose soil. Sowing is typically done in April or May, and harvest occurs 90-120 days after germination.

'Veselka' onion has excellent transportability and retains its qualities for up to six months. Due to these characteristics, it is suitable for long-term storage as well as for fresh use, including in salads and other culinary applications.
