The bulbs have an oval or elliptical shape, weighing from 32 to 85 grams, with a two-cam structure and medium density. Dry skins are golden-yellow or straw-yellow, while juicy layers are creamy-white. The onion has a semi-sharp taste, making it versatile for various culinary purposes.

Sochaczewska is characterized by good storability and bulb maturity, allowing it to be used both as a one-year crop from seeds and as a two-year crop from sets. Maturation periods average from 76 to 99 days, while yield varies from 0.4 to 0.9 kg per square meter in a one-year crop and up to 4.1 kg per square meter in a two-year crop. The variety has relative resistance to downy mildew, enhancing its reliability during cultivation.

It is recommended to grow Sochaczewska onion in temperate latitudes with an optimal germination temperature of +15 to +17°C. The planting scheme is 6-8 cm in the row and 40 cm between rows, while the planting time is from late March to early May. Due to the convenience of mechanized processing and digging, as well as high maturity at the time of harvest, this variety is widely used in industrial horticulture and is valued for the ability to store for a long time until spring.
