Agronomic Performance

'Globus' is classified as a mid-season variety with a growing period of 90–100 days. This developmental cycle allows farmers to plan harvests efficiently, avoiding peak operational strain. One of the key characteristics contributing to the variety's popularity is its high yield—up to 50 tons per hectare under optimal cultivation practices.

Marketability and Storage

The bulbs have a distinct rounded shape and a significant weight of 200–250 grams, which is a crucial parameter for mechanical harvesting and subsequent pre-sale preparation. The product's appearance—light brown outer scales and dense white flesh—fully meets the requirements of processors. The variety's ability to maintain marketability for 5–6 months allows producers to manage supply chain logistics with flexibility.

The variety features genetically determined resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis), which significantly reduces the need for pesticide application during the growing season.
