Rawhide onion is a medium-early hybrid of bulb onion with a round shape and golden bulbs weighing up to 200 grams. The plant features a strong green mass of medium length, making it versatile for cultivation both for green mass and storage. The bulbs have a proper shape and a pleasant light-brown hue, along with high marketability and good transportability, which is especially important for commercial cultivation and sales.
The Rawhide hybrid is resistant to diseases, particularly to downy mildew, and can withstand stressful conditions such as water deficiency and high temperatures. This makes it a resilient and reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including central and southern regions of Ukraine. The onion is suitable for open-ground cultivation, and seedling cultivation from trays is also possible, expanding agrotechnical options.
