The bulbs have a round-flat shape and medium size, weighing typically 100 to 200 grams, sometimes up to 250 grams. The onion skin ranges from yellow-brown to light yellow, and the flesh is white, juicy, with a slightly semi-sharp flavor. Due to its high dry matter content, this variety is excellent for drying, freezing, and canning, while retaining its flavor and nutritional value, including a significant amount of vitamin C.
Stuttgarter Stanfield is highly resistant to bolting, diseases, and pests, making it a reliable choice for both farmers and home gardeners.
