Rijnsburger 5 onion, also known as Robot, is a mid-early variety with a maturity period of about 100-110 days. This variety is characterized by high productivity and uniform head ripening, ensuring even fruiting with high quality and quantity indicators. The bulbs are round in shape and yellow-brown in color, weighing up to 200 grams, making them attractive for fresh market sales and long-term storage. Due to its dense upper covering and rapid drying after harvest, the onion retains its firmness and does not support re-sprouting, and is also rarely prone to rotting.

Rijnsburger 5 is well adapted to various climatic conditions and soils, including light and insufficiently moist ones. For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown thinly directly in the garden with row spacing of about 25 cm and plant spacing of 15 cm.
