Bratko F1 onion — a medium-maturing hybrid of semi-sharp bulb onion, developed by the Dutch seed company Syngenta Seeds. The vegetation period is 115-120 days, allowing cultivation in open ground throughout Ukraine. The plant features a strong root system, robust leaf apparatus with intensive waxy coating and good growth vigor, ensuring high resistance to stresses and diseases such as downy mildew and Alternaria.
Bratko F1 onion bulbs have a round shape with a diameter of 7-10 cm and weigh approximately 250 grams. The outer covering scales are brightly bronze or golden-brown, dense and tough, which contributes to long-term storage. The inner scales are white, thick, crisp, and juicy, with a dry matter content of 13-15%. Thanks to these qualities, the onion retains turgor and nutritional value for 5-6 months under proper storage conditions.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield — with proper care and optimal mineral nutrition, yields of more than 85-100 tons of marketable product per hectare can be achieved. Bratko F1 onion is ideal for mechanized harvesting and mechanical cleaning, simplifying the collection and preparation process for sale. It is intended for fresh market distribution and is widely used in culinary applications due to its taste and quality.
