Onion Rich

A Strategic Choice for Industrial Processing

The «RICH» onion hybrid from Spanish breeder Semillas Fito is designed for professional growers focused on high-efficiency processing. Its consistency and structural integrity make it a preferred option for large-scale operations where automated cleaning, peeling, and slicing are the standard operating procedures.

Agronomic Efficiency and Harvesting

With a maturity cycle of 100–110 days, this hybrid offers the predictability needed to manage harvest schedules effectively. The uniform round shape and consistent weight (150–160 grams) allow for seamless integration with mechanical harvesting equipment, reducing labor costs and physical damage to the bulbs. The bronze-yellow outer scales provide a robust, attractive finish that withstands the rigors of bulk transport.

Why Professionals Choose «RICH»:

• Exceptional uniformity, ensuring higher productivity on automated processing lines.
• Reliable field performance backed by Semillas Fito’s extensive breeding expertise.
• High-density bulbs that maintain their quality during shipping to processing facilities.

The «RICH» hybrid is best utilized for immediate market supply or processing within 3–4 months post-harvest. It is an ideal solution for businesses looking to maximize turnover in the early-to-mid autumn period rather than long-term cold storage. This targeted approach ensures that the produce reaches its end-use at the peak of its quality.
