Onion MIRACL

Reliable Yields in Challenging Climates

The «Miracle» onion variety from the Russian breeder «Agrobiotrade» is designed for growers who prioritize consistent storage quality over short-term volume. In regions characterized by erratic weather patterns, this variety demonstrates high plasticity, maintaining its merchantable quality where other varieties might succumb to stress.

Key Advantages

• Consistent Development: The variety is known for high seedling uniformity, which significantly reduces the need for manual grading later in the season.
• Disease Resistance: Natural resistance to standard onion pathogens helps minimize the dependency on intensive fungicide programs, making it a viable option for sustainable farming practices.
• Storage Potential: The skin density of the «Miracle» bulb is its standout feature. It remains firm and intact after months in professional storage facilities, ensuring growers can capture better market prices during the off-season.

Cultivation Insights and Limitations

To maximize the potential of the «Miracle» variety, precision in irrigation management is paramount, particularly during the bulb-filling stage. Excess moisture towards the end of the growth cycle can lead to neck-curing issues. Furthermore, we advise farmers to be cautious with late-season nitrogen applications; excessive nitrogen is known to compromise the thickness of the outer skins, thereby reducing shelf-life. This variety is best suited for commercial producers targeting high-end retail markets where visual quality and post-harvest longevity are critical.
