F1 May has been introduced at the Vegetable Experimental Station named after V.I. Edelstein of RAS. The breeders of the hybrid are employees of LLC "Seed Selection and Seed Company "Manul". A popular, high-yielding, early-maturing, insect-pollinated hybrid, predominantly female-flowering. Intended for cultivation in spring greenhouses and tunnels, and further south — in open ground. The steady demand for this hybrid is due to the high commercial and flavor qualities of the fruits. Medium branching. Cucumbers are bumpy, white-stemmed, 12-17 cm long, suitable for salad and canning, very tasty and crisp. The frequency of bump placement is medium, bumps are large. The hybrid is resistant to cucumber mosaic virus, moderately resistant to root rot. 10% pollinator is added to F1 May. Colored pollinator seeds are included in each hybrid packet.
Planting density in protected ground: 2.5-3 plants/m2, in open ground: 4-5 plants/m2.
