GANTAN

Onion variety Gantan is a late-maturing variety intended for bulb growing in annual culture from seeds. The bulbs have a broadly egg-shaped form and weigh from 80 to 100 grams. The dry scales are dark brown, the juicy scales are white, and the number of dry scales is 4-5. The onion neck is thin, single-chambered, and the taste is semi-sharp. The commercial yield of the variety ranges from 336 to 810 centners per hectare, which is 80 centners higher than the Manas F1 standard, while the maximum yield reached 980 centners per hectare in the Volgograd region. Ripening before harvest is 93%, and after ripening it is 100%.
