Onion Elvira

Elvira is a high-yielding variety of bunching onion, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. The plant is highly cold-tolerant, enabling successful cultivation in various climatic zones. The vegetative period from germination to the first harvest is approximately 110 days, and multiple harvests are possible during the season due to the rapid regrowth of leaves.

The leaves of Elvira onion have a rich green color and tubular shape, with a sharp flavor and high content of vitamin C and microelements, making them beneficial for health. The leaves have medium length and wide diameter, ensuring an attractive market appearance. The absence of bulb formation allows the plant to concentrate nutrients in the green part, which is widely used in culinary applications.

For planting, a spacing of 20x10 cm is recommended, with seed depth of 1-2 cm. Sowing can be done early spring, summer, or autumn, with timely watering, thinning, weeding, and fertilization to ensure optimal growth.
